Beauty Wishlist

This time of year almost always inspires a bit of wanting. It’s the spirit of Christmas really! (Sort of.) My birthday falls exactly a month after Christmas so I’ve been working extra hard on my wish lists.

Here’s what I’ve been lusting after lately:

1. Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara: $23

I’ve been planning on buying this mascara for ages but Sephora does this crazy thing where it shortens my attention span to just a few seconds. I can’t help but hop from aisle to aisle, always looking at the newest and shiniest packaging. This mascara has been praised by nearly every YouTube beauty guru, so naturally I’m dying to buy it. It supposedly has an incredible lengthening formula, and a wand with spikes at the end to separate those pesky lashes. I’ll definitely pick it up next time I’m at the mall.

2. Marc Jacobs Remedy Concealer Pen: $47

As a student with a Netflix addiction, there’s no way I can ever get enough sleep. I’m perpetually suffering from dark circles and puffy eyes and this concealer promises to solve all my troubles. It has a palladium tip that cools the skin as the concealer is applied which helps control that super attractive I-just-stayed-up-all-night-writing-a-paper-look. Until I splurge for this concealer, my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind will just have to do.

3. Foreo Luna Mini: $159

While Bioré Pore Strips are a regular part of my beauty regime, they’re just not getting rid of blackheads as well as they should. The Luna Mini uses sonic technology with silicone bristles to deep clean the skin with variable settings of pulsations. In the long run, it’s supposed to minimize pores and reduce hyper pigmentation, while leaving skin soft and breakout free. In comparison with the Clarisonic, the Luna doesn’t need the brush head replaced and has been reviewed as far more gentle on skin. This product basically has beauty must-have written all over it!

4. Julep Ta Da! Quick Dry Drops: $14

I always paint my nails before bed and I always end up with little bed sheet marks on at least a few nails. This serum is supposed to leave polish smudge proof after just a few minutes and if that doesn’t sound like the greatest invention of the 21st century, then I don’t know what does.

5. NARS Blush in Orgasm: $35

need this celebrity favourite blush in my life. It’s a beautiful peachy pink that would complement my darker skin tone and be perfect for the summer. It’s just understated enough to wear on a daily basis, and I’m all about the neutral look. Besides, how can you not love that name?
