Icewine Festival

On an average Saturday in January, a lot of my favourite local spots are empty of tourists and perfect for spending a lazy afternoon. A friend and I decided to grab lunch at the pub and spend a couple hours catching up. When we got there, the streets were full of people and parking lots full of cars.

We had accidentally stumbled into the first and busiest day of the Icewine Festival. After lunch, we tasted some of the best wines of the region and explored the icy shores of the lake. It was still chilly, but the cloud streaked sky made the perfect setting for taking pictures and seeing the best that winter had to offer:
